Tom Brooksher

Tom Brooksher is a senior executive and a strong leader with a legacy of success running companies in a wide variety of industries. He has deep experience in sales and marketing, business development, operations, technology and mergers/acquisitions. He has successful experience leading businesses owned by outside investors, including private equity.

Tom is President and CEO of Zipline Performance Group, a training development and consulting company, and a founding partner in Transparent Learning, Inc., a company that helps improve patient care through healthcare education.

Tom was President and CEO of Jones/NCTI, the largest independent provider of broadband workforce performance products, services and education in the world. Jones/NCTI is a wholly owned operating unit of Jones Knowledge resulting from the sale of NCTI to Jones Knowledge in November, 2005. Tom was the President and CEO of NCTI prior to the sale and ran the company on behalf of its equity sponsor, private equity firm KRG Capital, from November 2000 until the sale. Tom was instrumental in marketing NCTI on behalf of KRG and continued to serve as the company’s President and CEO through the end of 2007.

Prior to joining Jones/NCTI, Tom served as Group Publisher for Cahners (now Reed Business Information) Television Group’s Denver-based telecommunications technology cluster consisting of Wireless Week, CED (Communications Engineering and Design), and Broadband Week. Brooksher was the founding Publisher of Wireless Week, a weekly newspaper serving the cellular telephone, PCS, paging, wireless data and mobile radio markets. He was the founding Group Publisher of Broadband Week. In addition, Brooksher has extensive experience in creating successful Web, email and fixed media electronic products. Tom has 30 years experience in training, publishing, software development and technology, and over 25 years experience in the communications industries. He was Executive Vice President and Publisher of Radio Communications Report (RCR), and has founded several publications including Cellular Business magazine, Land Mobile Product News magazine and PCS Report newsletter. He also served as Director of New Product Development for Intertec Publishing Company and President and CEO of a software development company and an electronic publishing company.
